6 Intentions + 6 Throw-Aways for 2014

January 2, 2014

Happy New Year! I’m anticipating 2014 to be another amazing adventure filled with lots of laughter and love. And in true New Year fashion, I jotted down my list of intentions – those magical goals that I vow to crush and complete throughout the year.

6 intentions

01. Drink more water than coffee.
02. Send snail mail.
03. Build a reading tent/nook for M.
04. Snag a new hobby.
05. Start each morning with a smile.
06. Always look forward – no turning back.

Along with my six intentions, I created it’s counterpart – the six throw-aways. These may cause more damage than good, tearing down your personal achievements, sucking the fun out of excitement and forcing you to speed up those special moments that were meant to be savored. I vow to tell these little suckers to SCOOT!

6 throw-aways

01. Limiting myself.
02. Saying yes to everything.
03. Going along with what’s expected.
04. Attempting something new every day.
05. Putting a strict timeline on fun home DIY projects.
06. Being an adult 100% of the time.

Wishing you an amazing New Year! Will you be making any goals for 2014??

Drink more water than coffee. Ditto, but I just got a Keurig for Christmas. Fate intervention? What are you considering for new hobby? I love this one.

[…] So, January is gone with the wind. 2015 is definitely here for another 11 months, and I have some work to do. I need to devote time, set goals and be present. Why that is easier said than done sometimes, I’ll never know. It seems like these three points should be a natural happening, a regular occurrence on our life-road. I was never a fan of declaring resolutions, per se, hence my nod and not-so-private post on intentions and throw-aways for 2014. […]
