With a Saturday on the calendar sans plans and a very much pregnant mama walking around, we decided to stay home and do a little tea party with our favorite four year old. We bought a few special things from a favorite local bakery and made {really good} tea sandwiches. I decided we needed just one more thing: scones. How can we have tea without some sort of scone? I realize how silly I sound, especially at 38 weeks pregnant....

This year we decided to make gingerbread cookies. We always decide to do a little baking … #holidays … but this year, our girl requested to make and decorate gingerbread. I’m not one to say no to that, and she’s at that age right now where she can somewhat help in the kitchen. Watching her get out ingredients and start measuring is really exciting (and sometimes nerve-wracking) to watch, but a memory nonetheless. Where does the time go …...

My entire family can’t get enough of these cookies. I’ve been baking them at least once a week and gifting them around the clock. I love baking! Thank goodness the temps are low.
