This evening’s post is more about a reminder for myself [and hopefully others] about a new routine I wrote several weeks ago regarding digital down time and the importance of taking that time every week, if not every day, to unplug. Unplug from the phone, computer, iPad. I have slipped from this new routine on several occasions. And although this routine is not something that is immediate feasible for our situation, the mentality behind this is still very much in the back of my mind – reminding me of what I need to do and how to accomplish it.
Balance. This single word is always present. Keeping a balance between professional and personal arenas. It’s coming along as I believe I have struck a balance that works for us. Will this balance eventually shift based on needs and wants? Absolutely. It’s fluid. But maintaining this sort of balance and knowing when you have fallen of course is what is most important – the ultimate awareness of balance.
Remember to always take one day at a time – get the most out of it during the time you can and always remember what is most important in your life. For me, it’s family and friends – and stealing a few minutes for myself. Don’t forget to strike that happy medium in your life. Be fulfilled. Be happy.
How do you seek your balance?
